🌞 Riverlight with Elizabeth🌞

A poem for parents to read aloud:

In the year of quiet hearts and skies,
Shiba and Giri blinked their eyes—
A shimmer, a swirl, a time-tunnel glow,
To 2020 they softly go.
They met Miss Elizabeth, kind and wise,
With silver hair and laughing eyes.
She welcomed them in with a gentle grace,
And love like sunlight lit her face.
They cooked with care, they stirred with song,
Mushrooms dancing all day long.
They read the Bible, verse by verse,
Each word a balm, a gentle nurse.
“Even in shadows,” Elizabeth said,
“Love walks beside us, just ahead.”
Shiba leaned close, Giri held tight—
Their hearts grew brave in morning light.
They wandered down the river trail,
Past willow trees and mushroom veil.
They skipped smooth stones, they shared old tales,
And watched the water weave its sails.
At dusk, the sky turned soft and gold,
And stories wrapped them in their fold.
Elizabeth smiled, “You’ll carry this day—
In every kind and gentle way.”
So if your child asks what is true,
Tell them this tale of skies so blue—
Of cooking, walking, reading, grace,
And love that lives in every place.
